Tianchi is currently a visiting student researcher in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of University of California, Berkeley. He obtained his Bachelor degree in 2015 from the Tongji University (Shanghai, China), and now he is a PhD candidate in Tongji University. His research is mainly about the application of Material Point Method to large deformation problem in geotechnial engineering.
Research Interests
- Numerical simulation in geotechnial engineering
- Material Point Method (MPM)
- Large deformation problem in ultra deep foundation
- Constitutive model of clay
Research Experience
- Research on the behavior of the structural deformation and the distribution of soil pressure in “Shanghai (China) Deep Drainage Tunnel”
- Research on the there dimensional numerial simulation of multi-foundations in “Hengqin port of Zhuhai (China)”
- Research on the synchronous grouting in a quasi-rectangular shield tunnel—“Ningbo (China) Metro Line 3”
- Research on the behavior of double-row steel plate piles and lattice diaphragm walls in an immersed tube tunnel project
