Alp is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. Following his completion of B.S. in civil engineering from Middle East Technical University in Turkey in 2016, he obtained his M.S. from University of California, Berkeley in GeoSystems in 2017 as a Fulbright Scholar. After his graduation, he worked for Renaissance Heavy Industries in Istanbul as a project engineer for investments projects in petrochemical sector. His duties included preparation of feasibility studies for potential investments and co-operating with government regulatory authorities for technology licenses.
