In collaboration with NHERI SimCenter, Tianyu co-mentored Cristian Varela, a student from NSF’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. Over ten weeks, Cristian worked on the project, Impact of Urban Flooding on Transportation Infrastructure, with the support from his mentors. The project focused on estimating the potential impact of flooding on the transportation network in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The report and presentation slides are available here.
