Miki is a MSc student from Kobe University and a visiting scholar at the UC Berkeley. Miki obtained her BSc from Kobe University in 2017. She has been working on the mechanical behavior of plate boundary faults (decollement zone) considering of smectite to illite transformation and using numerical methods. Miki observed the cause of slow slip event in decollement zone attempting soil mechanical interpretaion. Her MSc thesis supervisor is Prof. Atsushi Iizuka.
