Michael graduated with a B.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of the Philippines – Diliman in 2016, and with a M.S. in Civil Systems from UC Berkeley in 2020. He is currently a PhD student in Civil Systems under Professor Kenichi Soga.
