Our group has successfully organized the UC Berkeley Workshop on Tunnel Engineering & Construction. The event was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at CITRIS 250, Sutardja Dai Hall, UC Berkeley Campus. Besides Prof. Soga, several members of our group presented their works in the workshop: Dayu & Renjie (implementation of AI & ML in tunnel construction), as well as Linqing, Andrew & Peter (sensing technologies).
The workshop was intended to foster the tunnel engineering community in SF Bay Area (and US West Coast in general) as well as to promote emerging technologies being developed in our research group. The workshop was attended by colleagues from the industry, namely, AECOM, Arup, McMillen Jacobs, WSP, Mottmac, Engeo, Sixense, Enzan, HNTB, Shimizu, and Kajima.
