Professor Kenichi Soga wrote an article for the Spring Bridge on Sustainable Smart Cities. This issue examines “smart infrastructure, sustainability, net zero carbon options, and autonomous driving, among other approaches to smart and sustainable cities” in the face of “increasing threats from natural disasters, aging infrastructure, traffic, and resource constraints. Professor Soga’s article focuses on ways to rehabilitate or create the built environment so that future generations benefit from smart infrastructure.
