Hiroshi Kogi is a visiting scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, USA. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Osaka University, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Japan. He has been working for Shimizu Corporation (https://www.shimz.co.jp/en/) as a on-site civil engineer mainly on tunnel projects in various countries. Also, he engaged in developing productivity and safety of construction sites with IoT technologies. His recent research interest is city-scale modeling to contribute to efficient planning and maintaining infrastructures.
